It comes in several standard colors and can be custom blended to meet your needs.
  • Voltex bentonite geotextile works by forming a low permeability membrane upon contact with water. When wetted, unconfined bentonite can swell up to 15 times its dry volume. When confined under pressure the swell is controlled, forming a dense, impervious waterproofing membrane. The swelling action of Volclay can self-seal small concrete cracks caused by ground settlement, concrete shrinkage, or seismic action; problems over which there is normally no control. Voltex forms a strong mechanical bond to concrete when the geotextile fibers are encapsulated into the surface of cast-in-place concrete.

In addition, the FRP materials offer the following advantages:
    • Economy and durability
    • Ease of application
    • Extremely high tensile strength
    • Outstanding fatigue behavior
    • Absolute corrosion resistance
    • Ability to upgrade structure while in use
    • Upgrades possible even with limited access
  • Sika CarboDur plates and SikaWrap fabrics have been used successfully on thousands of projects worldwide. The most common uses have been for flexural strengthening, shear upgrades and column confinement. However, they have many other uses, including strengthening for cut-outs, blast hardening, fire and structural damage, and upgrading structures damaged by corrosion.

Perm-A-Barrier Liquid provides an effective barrier against air infiltration and exfiltration while minimizing the associated energy loss and condensation problems and its versatility makes it easy to use in detailed areas.
  • Certain solvents are cure-inhibitors to certain sealants. Ask your Coastal sales rep or consult the technical data sheet. Also, the application of silicone sealants adjacent to uncured urethane sealants will most likely inhibit the cure of the urethane sealant.
  • Window films come with different day ratings. 30 day window films will not perform like a 360 day film.
  • A deck coating membrane can last indefinitely if the top coat UV screen is reapplied periodically over the life of the structure. Deferred maintenance on deck coatings is only a short term solution.

  • Elastomeric coatings are not the panacea for above grade weatherproofing solutions.
  • Urethane sealants are never used for two or four side structural glazing.
  • Sealant mockup’s offer value to all parties in the construction process. The owner/architect validates color and texture. General contractor receives owner approval. Sealant applicator verifies need for sealant primer while providing the sealant tooling standard for the project.
